Government is now planning to link the Aadhaar with the DRIVING LICENCE so the sooner, the better to update the Aadhaar of yours to link each n every document as it helps you later in many means.

SO HERE ARE THE WAYS GIVEN TO LINK THE AADHAAR CARD TO YOUR DRIVING LICENSE ONLINE


STEP 1: Visit STATE/UT road transport department website and click on 'LINK AADHAAR'

STEP 2: Now select the option Link AADHAAR optionand select the driving licence 

STEP 3: enter your driving licence number and click on 'GET DETAIL' option.

STEP 4: Enter 12 digit Aadhaar number and mobile number and click the 'SUBMIT' button.

STEP 5: Once this all happen you will recieve an OTP on your mobile enter this number to complete the process of linking.

Q. Is an e-Aadhar card valid for linking driving license?

A. Yes, you have to enter your Aadhaar number while linking online. Your Aadhaar number remains the same, be it the e-Aadhaar or the Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI.

Q. Is it mandatory to link Aadhaar with driving license?

A. Right now, it is not mandatory to link Aadhaar with driving license. However, the government is planning to make Aadhaar mandatory for driving licenses.
