As you are aware with the importance of Aadhaar card which has been mendatory for all the Indian citizens in this blog I'll show you how you can easily update your Aadhar card information offline and online as well so let's get started with it.


HOW TO UPDATE AADHAAR CARD ONLINE

You can change address, name , date of birt , gender, mobile number and email id on Aadhar card . Follow the steps to proceed further

STEP 1: Visit the AADHAR SELF-SERVICE UPDATE PORTAL and click on "Update your Address Online"

STEP 2: Having a valid address proof, click on the"PROCEED to Update Address"

STEP 3: Enter 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on "SEND OTP" or "Enter a TOTP". An OTP will be sent to your mobile number, enter this OTP to login to your AADHAAR account.

STEP 4: Select the 'Update Address by Address Proof' option or 'Update Address vis Secret Code' option.

STEP 5: Enter your address in proof of address and click on 'PREVIEW' button.

STEP 6: In case you want to modify your address click on the 'MODIFY' option and click on the 'SUBMIT' button.

STEP 7: Select the type of document you want to submit as POA for Verification of address and upload the scanned copy of the address proff and click on 'SUBMIT'.

STEP 7: As per your request your AADHAAR update request accepted and a 14-digit URN will be generated. This URN will help you to check the status of your request you made through. Once updated download the updated version of your AADHAAR and print out.




STEP TO UPDATE AADHAAR CARD BY VISITING ENROLMENT CENTER.

Visit the Aadhaar card seva kendra and fill the form https://uidai.gov.in/images/aadhaar_enrolment_correction_form_version_2.1.pdf

Points to remember:

  1. Enter the correct information
  2. Submit the form along with document
  3. Get self-attested copies of proofs validating your update request
  4. Pay fees of RS. 25
  5. You can update or change the mobile number at the center.




UPDATE ADDRESS IN AADHAAR WITHOUT DOCUMENT PROOF

Request for the 'ADDRESS VALIDATION LETTER' for the change or update in the address of yours


Must keep in mind:

  • Your address will be validated by sending your validation letter which will contain a secret code on the address verifier’s address.
  • It is mandatory for both the resident and the address verifier to update their mobile numbers with  their Aadhaar.
  •  Due to any reason, if the address verifier fails to give consent within the set deadline, the request will be considered invalid and will have to initiate the procedure of  request once again.

STEP 1: Visit the given link below https//ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/

STEP 2: Click on the Update Aadhaar and select 'REQUEST for VALIDATION LETTER'.

STEP 3: Enter your Aadhar number and Captcha verification code.

STEP 4: Click on 'Send OTP' which will be sent to the registered mobile number.

HOW TO UPDATE/CHANGE YOUR NAME IN AADHAAR CARD


Just follow the simple steps to change the name in AADHAAR


STEP 2: Fill the Aadhaar update form

STEP 3: Enter you current mobile number

STEP 4: Your request will be registered by the executive at the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update centre ph

STEP 5: Now, you will receive an acknowledgement slip containing the URN.You have to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- for this service.



HOW TO CHANGE MOBILE NUMBER IN AADHAAR

and fill the Aadhaar Update Form

Step 2: Enter only your current mobile number in the form.

Step 3: You do not have to provide any proof for updating your mobile number

Step 4: The executive will register your request

Step 5: You will be provided the acknowledgement slip containing the URN and have to pay the fee of ₹ 25/- for availing this service




How to Change the Date of birth in Aadhaar Card

Follow the steps to change the date of birth (DoB) 

Step 1: Visit a nearby Aadhaar Enrolment Centre and fill the Aadhaar update form mentioning your date of birth

Step 2: Submit the proof of date of birth along with the form

Step 3: Now give your biometrics to authenticate your identity and in return you will now receive an acknowledgement slip containing URN

Step 4: The URN can be used to check the Aadhar update status online

Step 5: You have to pay a fee of ₹25/- to the executive
and your DoB will be updated in Aadhaar within 90 days

Following documents are to be provided time of updation

Passport.
PAN card.
Either Ration or PDS Photo card.
Voter Identification card.
Driving licence of the applicant.
Photo identification cards issued by the Government of India.
Service photo ID cards that is issued by the PSU.
Job card of NREGS.
Photo identification that is issued by some Recognised Educational Institution.
Licence of Arms.
Photo Bank ATM card.
Photo Credit card.
Photo card of the Pensioner.
Photo card of the Freedom Fighter.
Photo Passbook of Kisan.
Photo card of CGHS.
Certificate of Marriage.




Why does the request for Aadhar Card updation/correction get rejected?

The request for Aadhaar Card updation/correction gets rejected sometimes, as UIDAI follows specific provisions to verify the details before making any changes in the Aadhar details. Only when these criteria are fulfilled, UIDAI updates the details on its system. The following conditions should be fulfilled before corrections are made in the Aadhaar details:

Adequate documents should be sent along with the form for verification. In absence of such documents, updating or correcting requests would not be processed.

All documents sent to UIDAI should be self-attested.

If the details mentioned in the form do not match with the document attached for verification, details of Aadhar will not be updated.

Aadhar card updation may also be rejected, if you do not submit adequate documents along with the form.

In case the updation request of details in the Aadhaar card is rejected due to some reason, you can send a new request by making appropriate corrections in the form and submitting appropriate self-attested documents.
