One of the most important thing after your Aadhar gets generated is linking with your Bank Account. It is mandatory to link Aadhaar card to your bank account because the banks have the right to deactivate your account if they found it not linking.
Here are the various steps to link your Aadhaar card with the Bank Account
To link follow the major steps as follows:
LINKING BANK ACCOUNT WITH AADHAAR THROUGH INTERNET BANKING
STEP 2: Under 'My Account' click on the "Update Aadhaar with Bank account (CIF)
STEP 3: Enter profile password for the Aadhaar registration
STEP 4: You will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number twice. Then click on submit after entering the AADHAAR number.
STEP 5: Message will appear 9n the screen after the successful process
LINKING BANK ACCOUNT WITH AADHAART THROUGHT BANK’S MOBILE APP
Step 1: Log in to your bank’s mobile. In the “My Accounts” section under the “Services” tab, click on the “View/Update Aadhaar card details” option.
STEP 2: Enter your Aadhaar number twice and click on the Submit button.
Step 3: You will get a message regarding the successful linking of your bank account with your Aadhaar card.
NOTE: Bank accounts can be linked with Aadhaar offline by either visiting your bank’s branch or by visiting a nearby ATM.
LINKING BANK ACCOUNT WITH THE AADHAAR IN THE BANK
STEP Visit the BANK'S official website to find 'Aadhaar linking' form. Fill the application form available on the bank to link the Aadhaar card.
Mention your bank account details and Aadhaar number
Attach a self-attested photocopy of your Aadhaar card with the form and submit the form and the Aadhaar copy at the counter
After the application will be accepted it may take a couple of days to link your bank account with Aadhaar.
Once linked, you will be notified on your registered mobile number.
LINKING AADHAAR WITH BANK ACCOUNT AT ATM MACHINES
Now you can easily link the AADHAAR with your BANK through ATM. To link follow the steps below:
STEP 1: Swipe your card in ATM machine and enter the PIN.
STEP 2: Now select the Option"AADHAAR REGISTRATION" option. Select the account type and enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number.
STEP 3: Re-enter the password and click on the Okay button. You will get a confirmation message regarding the successful linking with the Bank account.
LINKING THE AADHAAR CARD WITH YOUR BANK THROUGH SMS
An account holder can easily link the Aadhaar through SMS. But most of the bank doesn't allow this facility.
Here you can link the Aadhaar through SBI BANK just follow the simple steps.
STEP 1: Type message in the format given as
UID (space) Aadhaar number(space) account number send it to 567676.
STEP 2: You will get a confirmation message stating that your request has been approved. And the bank will verify the details with the UIDAI.
STEP 3: In case your Verification is unsuccessful you will get a message asking you to visit the nearest State Bank of India branch with your Aadhar card (original).
LINKING BANK ACCOUNT WITH AADHAAR THROUGH PHONE
Many banks allow the facility of linking Aadhaar with Bank through your phone to proceed to follow the steps:
STEP 1: Missed call the no. of the bank provided with you, they will call back from the bank where you can select the option for the IVR
STEP 2: Enter 12 digit number of your Aadhaar and confirm it
STEP 3: Once the Aadhaar is linked you will get a text message from the bank
